House Rules

  • IMPORTANT: Our family includes two Giant Schnauzers, Yeti and Lupin.  They are friendly and gentle and will want to greet you when you arrive but will not come into Selkie Loft unless invited.
  • IMPORTANT: No loud noise, this is a retreat space – no loud music or screaming (our local pub, Skebenga’s is just 1 min up the road for watching sports games – very festive)
  • IMPORTANT: No smoking (our natural surrounds are a fire hazard and Cape Town suffers every year with runaway fires – Noordhoek was ravaged by fires in 2016)
  • No pets of your own
  • Fish pond is not protected – no child-proof net
  • Retreat space: not suitable for parties and loud events

  • We live on the property and are available if you need help with your holiday plans
  • Languages: We all speak English at home, with French and German to various levels within the family
